Imagine you are a detective in the future, with the best surveillance system ever developed. You can reconstruct crime scenes in virtual reality, move freely and manipulate the time to carry out your investigations.
In our first VR project - Quanero VR, we’ve introduced a time manipulation device for a VR-Story. It's time to go one step further. Now, it’s not just about watching the story, but actively seeking for decisive events and connect these to a causal network of evidence in order to prove accusations. To achieve that, we have developed a new storytelling concept which is tied to a game mechanic. In addition, we have scanned our actors and use their own avatars for the motion capturing, in order to create as believable characters as possible.
Myself was responsible for the creation and design of all characters. Further I was the project leader and overlooked time management and the general direction of the game.
